In this two-part webinar series, Heidi J. Ellsworth of RoofersCoffeeShop® shares current trending demographics within construction and roofing that are influencing the financial success of roofing contractors with both the labor force and consumers of tomorrow.  In the first webinar, Ellsworth focuses on the need to retain and recruit a strong labor force in the changing landscape of the US economy.  She shares statistics and research of the current roofing industry make-up and the challenge of increasing diversity in the roofing industry to build and retain a strong workforce and talent pool.  The second webinar (July 9th) focuses on how roofing customers are changing the way they want to buy and from whom.  The presentation contains statistics and trends for the growing diversity of homeowners and their buying habits then correlating those trends to new roofing sales strategies.

Her experience as the founder of National Women in Roofing (NWIR) and Roofing Technology Think Tank (RT3) along with her ongoing consulting for National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) combines with 27 years of experience as a regional sales manager for a major roofing manufacturer and vice president of sales and marketing for a leading roofing technology company. Currently partnering and running two women-owned businesses, RoofersCoffeeShop and HJE Consulting, she brings real life wisdom to her presentations. She is able to share relevant and in-depth views and statistics of the overall roofing industry along with a vision of the future importance of inclusion, culture and thought leadership for roofing professionals and customers. She reinforces the need for a strong company culture that can define success for all people especially working with the next generation.

Jon Gardner has over 25 years of experience in the roofing industry in both sales leadership and strategic marketing roles. Jon has been with Owens Corning for 8 years. Jon began his career at Owens Corning as a Regional Contractor Sales Leader where he was responsible for in-field and live contractor training and development. In his current role as the National Contractor Training Leader, Jon leads Owens Corning’s contractor training and education initiative. Most recently Jon led the launch of Owens Corning University (OCU), an online training platform offering Owens Corning Roofing Network members a comprehensive suite of in-person and online courses and resources available 24/7.
