Scope Technologies (2.9 and prior)

This article is for Dashboard Versions 2.9.0 and prior.

Scope Technologies uses aerial satellite imagery and software to streamline the measuring and estimating process by delivering accurate roof, siding, and gutter reports.

The measurements can then be imported into Leap to build an accurate estimate to be emailed to your customers or uploaded to your CRM.

Quick Steps

Setup Scope Technologies.

Enable Scope Technologies.
Add Scope Technologies Placeholders in the price guide to pull in measurements.
Setup Report Sending settings to designate where the reports should show up in the app and where they should be sent.

Access Scope Technologies Reports.

In the estimate section of the app select the category of items you wish to obtain measurements for (ie. Roofing).
Under Measurement Tools, select Scope Technologies.
The address will automatically be entered from the customer selected. Hit the Search key to search for the report.
Select the report.

Enable Scope Technologies

You would need to be signed up for autopay in RoofScope to access your Scope API Token.

In your Leap Dashboard, click Other Integrations.
Select Scope Technologies.
Switch on Enabled.
Enter the API Token from your RoofScope account.
Click Save.

Scope Technologies Placeholders

To link a Scope Technologies report to Leap, simply add placeholders to the Formula of any Measure Sheet Item that you would like to have populated. You can combine these placeholders with other mathematical formulas to increase or decrease the returned values.

Example:

If you want to add 10% waste to the Scope Technologies Roof Area you would use the formula: [RoofScopeRoofArea]*1.1

The Round Up placeholders always rounds up. Round Down placeholders always rounds down. Round will round up if the value is between 6-10 and will round down if the value is between 0 -5. This also works with decimals. Example: 580.93 would round up to 581 and 580.42 would round down to 580.

Entering a Formula Placeholder

Show Placeholder Formulas

Enter the Price Guide and click on the Active Columns menu.
Check off Formula under Measure Sheet Items.
Close the Active Columns menu.

Enter Formula

Enter the formula into the Formula column of the Measure Sheet Item.
Save the Measure Sheet Item.

Get Scope API Token

You would need to be signed up for autopay in Scope Technologies to access your Scope API Token.

1. In the Scope Technologies website, click your Account Name > My Details

2. Go to Third Party Integration and copy the Scope API Token.

3. Paste the Scope API Token in your Leap Scope Technologies integration settings.

Access Scope Report

In the estimate section of the app select the Category of items you wish to obtain measurements for. (ie. Roofing)
Select Scope Technologies.
The address will automatically be populated from the customer selected. Hit the Search key to search for the report.

Deleting the address and searching will pull up any recently run reports.

Select the report.

Once you have the report populated in estimates, navigate to Resources.
Click RoofScope Report to access the full report.

Note: RoofScopeX reports only provide the number of squares. RoofScope reports provide the full report including all measurements.
