October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and this week Leap employees came together to raise awareness through education and donation efforts. The team wore pink breast cancer awareness shirts and hosted a walk for awareness around Centennial Park. We also hosted an educational webinar for the Leap Employees. We invited Mona Saaman-Ockenden to talk about her story, offer tips on how to support someone just diagnosed, and why self exams are important for early detection. #LeapForPink
Our donations will go to research to stop the disease that affects 1 in 8 women during their lifetime, breast cancer. As the world’s largest and most impactful breast cancer organization, Susan G. Komen supports more breast cancer research than any other nonprofit, while providing real-time help to those facing the disease.
Giving back and contributing to our community is built into our DNA. With several of our Leap family members knowing someone dear to them who have been affected by breast cancer, this was a no brainer that our company wanted to help Susan G. Komen save lives and end breast cancer forever.
Leap employees, friends, and family can make a donation online with a credit card by clicking the button above the fundraising thermometer.
